St Brieuc is situated on the northern coast of Brittany, midway between Roscoff and Dinard. The town derives its name from St. Brioc, a Welsh monk who founded a monastery in the area during the late 5th century. These days however St Brieuc is better known for its regional airport. The airport is situated to the west of the town and provides access for tourists and French property buyers wishing to explore the fabulous nearby stretch of North Brittany coastline.
